Subscribe to Paper Pumpkin – Skip to the fun!

Hey Guys! I subscribe to Paper Pumpkin so this time of month means stalking the mailman for my cute little orange box. I have heard the rumors online about the March kit. The name leaks out when the shipping confirmations are sent. The March kit is called Bunny Buddies.

After I get my shipping confirmation, I start to stalk YouTube for the monthly Paper Pumpkin kit video. I found it today and thought I would share it here. How funny are those little bunnies?!

Stalking YouTube distracts me from stalking the mailman for a little while. It’s all so much fun! It’s like a delicious mystery from the 10th to the 17th of the month!

I love when my kit arrives because with Paper Pumpkin, I can just skip to the fun! I spend a LOT of time and effort designing paper crafted projects and doing all the cutting and prep work. Paper Pumpkin is a vacation from all that! Like my classes are for you, Paper Pumpkin is for me! Someone else does all the prep work and I get to I just open the box and craft.

So I am still stalking the mailman and waiting impatiently for my little orange box and look what else I found! It’s a sneak peek at the April Paper Pumpkin designed by Sara Douglass, CEO. Cool huh? I like how Paper Pumpkin offers a variety of different projects and styles, there is something for everyone!

Stampin’ Up! Paper Pumpkin Review

Hey Guys! Happy New Year! I am fighting a cold so my New Year was very low key this year. Usually Max and I host a party. We drink and eat and talk and play, but not this year! I spent New Year’s Eve crafting then couch sitting in my pajamas.

I assembled my first Stampin’ Up! Paper Pumpkin Kit on New Year’s Eve. It’s the one I received in my Stampin’ Up! Flex Kit starter kit. I thought I would review it and share some pictures with you today.

Stampin' Up! Paper Pumpkin

The kit contained all the pieces (pre-cut, scored and some adhesive backed where necessary) for:

  • four A2 cards
  • four 2 1/8×3 3/8″ enclosure cards
  • four 2 1/4×3 5/8″ gift card envelopes
  • four 4 1/4×5 1/2″ gift card envelopes
  • The kit also contained:

  • a photo polymer stamp set
  • a Bermuda Bay Ink Spot
  • Cucumber Crush Bakers Twine and Self Adhesive Pearls
  • plus dry adhesive tape, dots and Stampin’ Dimensionals
  • Paper Pumpkin costs $19.99 per month, that includes the shipping cost. You can save up to $2 per month by subscribing for up to a year prepaid. Learn more or subscribe to Paper Pumpkin here.

I was very happy with the value. I was very happy with the projects in this particular kit. I feel the designs were professional, the color combination was pleasing and the projects were useful.

    Stampin' Up! Paper Pumpkin

I didn’t put the projects together exactly according to the instructions, and I did add a few things to the kit. I don’t think that there will be a Paper Pumpkin that I will assemble exactly according to the instructions, remember Crafty Girls Do What They Want…right?!

The first thing I did was grab two more Stampin’ Pads, Emerald Envy and Pool Party. I felt the Bermuda Bay only was a little flat. The two additional colors added some dimension to my stamping. You can see in the A2 cards how I used the additional Stampin’ Pads.

    Paper Pumpkin

I also found that my Bermuda Bay Ink Spot was relatively dry. It was the biggest disappointment I had with Paper Pumpkin. I will call Stampin’ Up! and let them know. Stampin’ Up! customer service is A+. I know they will bend over backward to fix the dry spot problem. More Stampin’ Pads means my Bermuda Bay didn’t have to work quite as hard.

    Paper PumpkinStampin' Up! Paper Pumpkin

I made the enclosure cards and small gift card envelopes almost according to the instructions. TIP: Before I assembled the last envelope I traced it so I could make more from cardstock later.

    Paper Pumpkin

The last project was a 4 1/4×5 1/2″ gift card envelope. I don’t need gift card envelopes now so I made the envelope and a coordinated card from the decorative bits. I added Pool Party and Whisper White Cardstock plus some Copper Metallic Thread and Copper Washi Tape from the Affectionately Yours Designer Washi Collection on Closeout SALE until 1-4-17. I will get more use from these cards right now.

    Paper Pumpkin

I hope this post was helpful and informative. If you have any questions about Paper Pumpkin, email me! My final word on the subject: I decided to subscribe to Paper Pumpkin. Over all my Paper Pumpkin was a fun and satisfying crafting experience.

Thank you for visiting today. Happy CRAFTY New Year!
