Treat Yourself! Join Amuse

It’s time to get real honest, we love our family and know they mean well when they give us those sweaters and knick-knacks. The food gifts just end up on our butts and bellies, so the Ab Blaster just makes sense, right? I am sure that the vacuum, mixer, and steam mop are not reviews of, or comments on, our domestic skills. Those gift givers mean well, but those gifts are going to gather dust.

Right now, it’s time to treat yourself!

Make a little magic this holiday season!

Let us show you how you can turn your passion for paper crafting into a FUN rubber stamping business that allows you to create the life you want. In just 5 minutes HERE and for just $39 you can give yourself the gifts of:

  • new friends
  • fresh inspiration
  • shared passion
  • discounts on every A Muse Studio order
  • AND more spending money or a full time income

For just $99 you can have all those benefits and stuff your Christmas stocking with all this too:

how to make a card – my card making and paper crafting process

Hello from your A Muse Studio Consultant! It is a chilly rainy day. I call that stamping weather! I am locked in my studio all day today. There is so much that I have to get done for YOU! I thought I might talk to you today about my creative process. Lots of stampers ask me how I make a card or paper craft project. It varies, but often starts this way:
A Muse Studio Bottle Rockets
First I will choose a color palette, I usually do that with A Muse Studio Card Stock. Here I have:

  • A Muse Studio Honeycomb Cardstock (available June 2015) in Sky, Navy and Apple
  • A Muse Studio Mini Dot Cardstock (available June 2015) in those same colors
  • A Muse Studio Solid Cardstock in Navy, Sky, Apple and Sugar
  • Then once my color palette develops, I grabbed my Amuse stamps. This color palette was begging to be paired with A Muse Studio Bottle Rockets (also available June 2015).
Last step before I get started with the actual card making is to do a mad grab of any A Muse Studio Dies, accessories and embellishments that fit or enhance the theme that is developing.
A Muse Studio Dies and Treat Bags
As you can see from the picture, I don’t hold back! I grab anything that might work or anything that I might want to feature. Obviously I can not use all of this on one handmade card or paper craft project. The object is to get the creative juices flowing and make more than one card or project in a sitting. I need to be efficient to keep you inspired.
Well, that’s it for today. Come back Wednesday for a look at one of the handmade cards I made with this pile of A Muse Studio goodies!

Pirate Party Cupcake Chocolate Treasure Chest Tutorial

    Chocolate Treasure Chest Tutorial
Hey Guys! Here is a quick tutorial that has nothing to do with make a card or A Muse Studio – but it sure is fun with the Anchors Aweigh stamp set and a pirate theme party. I came up with this cupcake topper idea and design all myself – no pinterest involved here, this is all me. LOL
Chocolate Treasure Chests Pirate Theme DIY Party Tutorial
    Chocolate Treasure Chest Tutorial
    Step One:
Unwrap TWO Hershey Nuggets per treasure chest.
    Step 1
    Step Two:
Cut each set. Cut the top third off of one nugget making both sides flat. Cut the bottom third off of the second nugget leaving one side rounded. This pair makes a chest (flat sides) and a lid (rounded side).
    Step 2
    Step Three:
Melt a small amount of chocolate chips in your microwave. Stir at 30 seconds and every 10 seconds until melted. Spread a small amount of melted chocolate on to the edge of the nugget of which you cut off the top third. Use the chocolate to adhere the nugget of which you removed the bottom third. Adhere with the rounded side out and up making the chest with lid as shown.
    Step 3
    Step Four:
Spread some melted chocolate on the flat surface inside the chest.
    Step 4
    Step Five:
    Sprinkle with Wilton Gold Nonparallels.

    my favorite green smoothie

    Power to Paper Craft
It has been a while since I have shared a recipe. I thought you might like to try this one. It’s my favorite green smoothie. Enjoy!

Power for Paper Crafts Green Smoothie
    1 banana – frozen
    1 cup of fresh pineapple
    1/2 cup kale tightly packed
    1/3 cup coconut milk
    2 ice cubes
Put frozen banana, fresh pineapple, kale and coconut milk in single serve 16oz blender cup in that order. TIP: If you are using a traditional blender, reverse the order. Smoothies blend better if liquids and soft solids are closest to the blades while frozen fruits are farthest from the blades. Pulse on low until all ingredients have been chopped. Add ice and pulse on low. Increase power to high and blend until smooth. ENJOY!
Thank you for stopping by today. Please let me know if you like my Power for Paper Crafts Green Smoothie!

Angry Bird Thank You & R U missing stuff?

    A Muse Studio Angry Bird
    Hi Guys!
It’s gotta be another super quick post, I have so much to do! I am behind and need to get caught up! I have to make and send my May thank you notes today. It’s terrible – I know. If I really hustle I might get June thank you noted done too…It’s only about 50 cards – I can do it!
Today, I thought I would share my A Muse Studio Red Angry Bird punch art – well really it’s die art, because that’s what I used to make this big guy. Here are some quick instructions:

Start by cutting the body with the largest circle from the Nestabilities Standard Circle Lg.  I cut one complete circle from Kraft.  I also cut a one from Cherry. Then I ran the Cherry circle back through the machine with the same die to cut the crescent belly.  I layered them together and then added the eyes.  The Sugar pieces are cut with the second smallest Nestabilities Standard Circle Lg. die.  The Onyx eyeball pieces are cut with the very smallest Nestabilities Standard Circle Sm. die.  Once I had the eyes adhered on the body, I cut two of the bracket shape word windows using A Muse Studio’s Word Windows die set.  I snipped them short and at an angle.  They made the perfect angry eye brows.  The top of the beak is a 1 1/4 inch Papaya square cut diagonal in half and adhered with 3D foam adhesive.  The bottom of the beak is a 1 inch Papaya square cut in half on the diagonal.  I adhered the bottom of the beak flat for contrast.  The feathers and tail are cut with an old Basic Grey flower die that I had on the shelf.  You could check your flower punches too.  You are looking for a flower with 6 pointed petals to make the job easy.  The banner is embellished with some A Muse Studio Cherry Bakers Twine.  The thank you stamp is from A Muse Studio’s Let Freedom Ring. I stamped it in Memento Tuxedo Black.  I made over two dozen of these for my son’s birthday thank you.  They came together quick and I got lots of complements from those that received them.

Thank you for stopping by today!
