A Muse Studio Consultant Challenge

A Muse Studio Sealed with a Fish
One of the fun things about being an A Muse Studio Consultant is the monthly consultant challenge. A Muse Studio Consultants enter their creations each month and get a chance to win one of two shopping sprees. Headquarters awards one prize for the creative winner and a second equal prize for a random participant. This month the theme is beach-y. This is one of my entries. Wish me luck, with all the good stuff in the 2015-16 A Muse Studio Catalog I could use the prize!
Check out this post to see how I make a stained glass effect with A Muse Studio Splash! Ink and Crystal Clear Glaze.

Heat Embossing, 2014 A Muse Studio Prieveiw, & Product Give Away

Bathing Beauties Amuse Stamps
I promised a preview from the Brand New 2014 A Muse Studio Catalog. Bathing Beauties is an Amuse stamps set available July 1st. Aren’t these girls pretty! I am adding this to the A Muse Studio Consultant Challenge gallery. The challenge this month is heat embossing. I used heat embossing to add the sentiment and also to change the look of my button. The button on this card is from the Vanilla Bag of Buttons. It was a pretty button, but I wanted a gold button for this card. I tapped the button on a VersaMark ink pad and then dipped it in A Muse Studio Gold Embossing Powder. I heated the button until the powder melted and Bobs Your Uncle – a GOLD BUTTON!

I got a big box of brand new A Muse Studio Stamps and Paper and new A Muse Studio Ink Pads and new card stock colors! FUN FUN FUN! I needed a little inspiration to get started with all the fun new Amuse stamps and ink pads so I headed over to Freshly Made Sketches. I thought the sketch looked like a good challenge. I got started with a brand new A Muse Studio stamp set, Bathing Beauties. I knew I was going to paper piece the bathing suit and cap. I thought the new stripe paper from the Fiesta 6×6 Patterned Paper looked like a beach towel. I applied the sketch and got this really cute card. Thank you for the great sketch Freshly Made!

Stampin’ for FUN?! Yup. It’s fun to just make a card! I swoon for this cute little light bulb from A Muse Studio’s Sending My Love. I had to use it! I colored the bulb with Copic Y17, RV14, W2, and W6. Then I cut it out and popped it up. I love my newly discovered color combo – Navy, Papaya and Berry. It looks great on Kraft! Clean and Simple Handmade Card

Just My Type CAS201
Here is a clean and simple handmade card for the CAS210 Challenge on Splitcoaststampers. The challenge is a CAS card with this color combo; cameo coral, certainly celery, night of navy, and white. The best A Muse Studio colors for this challenge are Grapefruit, Lichen, Eucalyptus, and Sugar. What a challenging color combo for me! Pretty, but challenging. What do you think of my card? It was my third attempt. I think it was a huge success! Leave me a comment and let me know what you think!

CAS Thinking of You Play Date Cafe 160

A Muse Studio Floral Duet
I am really stretching on this week’s Play Date Cafe Challenge! The colors baffle me! I will admit, blue is not my favorite color at all. I thought about chickening out. Then instead I pulled out some Latte, Winter Sky and Navy cardstock. I think those are the best A Muse Studio colors for this challenge. Here is the inspiration picture for this week:
A Muse Colors: Latte, Winter Sky and Navy
Then I grabbed my Champagne Glitter – now that livened up the color palette a little. I just got Winter Sky Splash so I pulled that out too. After I got the supplies out I started to feel like I could actually make something. I like the way my card turned out – I am glad I didn’t chicken out. This challenge has really helped me to stretch and grow as a paper crafter.  What are your biggest struggles with paper crafting right now?  Leave a comment and let me know.  Maybe I can help and inspire you so you can stretch and grow too.  Thank you for stopping by!  Happy Stamping.
