I have been under the weather and dealing with a very personal family issue. I am sorry I was gone last week. I missed you all. I am so far behind in all the things I want to share with you! Today, I am blogging against the clock. I have to pick up my oldest daughter from school in about 20 minutes! Here it is, right to the point, short and SWEET.
The A Muse Studio February Collection goes while supplies last tomorrow. I am so sad to see stamp sets like Gnome Other, Grow and Tiptoe Through the Tulips go! The stamp sets in the A Muse February Collection had such CHARACTER this time! Look that that gnome – character, right?! Don’t miss out. You never know if we will ever see these Amuse stamps again.
I have a couple of small orders here that do not total a party. Would you like a chance at the A Muse Studio hostess benefits? If there is anything A Muse Studio you have had your eye on, now is the time to order it! You could be the winner of the hostess rewards. Anyone want $25 or more in A Muse products of your choice? Email me or call me (847)922-6795 with your order today before 7pm CST. If Gideon (Desi drew this time. The hostess benefits were rewarded here.) draws your name you get the hostess rewards. That easy!

It’s President’s Day and things are busy at the Alvarez house. Even though the littles are off of school today, I still have to drive mom’s taxi service. I am off again in just a minute to drop my oldest off at work. Today I thought I would share my favorite Lucky Charm card from Linda’s blog. I think this handmade card is gorgeous! The gold embossing is so elegant and the Grass Splash! Ink background is so interesting. The more I see done with A Muse Studio Lucky Charm, the more I like it! What is your favorite stamp set in the A Muse February Collection?
At the Alvarez house, we love Egg Roll Bowls! With no rolling, these bowls are quick and easy. No frying and lots of veggies make them healthy too. Easy dinners leave more time for card making! Max shared this picture of his dinner on Facebook a few days ago now everyone wants the recipe. Here it is, enjoy!
Egg Roll Bowls
1 package of prepared egg roll wrappers
1 1/2 lbs ground pork
1 Tbsp sesame infused olive oil
1 medium onion diced
1/2 -3/4 of a cabbage sliced fine
3 carrots shredded
3 cloves garlic minced
1/3 cup soy sauce
1 Tbsp smooth peanut butter
1/4 tsp ground ginger
3 green onions chopped
1 can salad shrimp drained
Preheat your oven to 400. Invert two small glass oven safe bowls on a cookie sheet. Lightly oil the outside and bottom of the bowls with vegetable oil. Drape an egg roll wrapper over each of the oiled bowls. Bake for approximately 7 minutes. Make bowls two at a time while you cook the filling on the stovetop.
In a large skillet crumble and brown ground pork. Drain and set aside. Drizzle pan with sesame infused olive oil and sautee onion. When the onion is lightly brown add the cabbage and continue to sautee. When the cabbage is warm and wilted add the carrot and garlic. Add the browned pork back to the pan. While the veggies finish cooking and the pork is warming through, stir together soy sauce, peanut butter and ginger. Add the sauce and tiny shrimp into the pan and warm through. Sprinkle with green onion.
Heap filling into the crispy bowls and serve with sweet and sour sauce and extra soy sauce if desired.
Happy Friday! It’s TGIF day as my 6 year old son loves to declare as he gets out of bed on Friday morning. I hope you have a little craftiness planed for the weekend! I plan to spend some time in my studio enjoying the new A Muse Studio March Collection – it’s amazing!

This is one of my most favorite projects made for the A Muse Studio February Collection release. It combines three very versatile, totally flexible A Muse Studio dies, the new Rainbow Die TAD0232, Basic Banner Die TAD0210 and the Mini Popcorn Box Die TAD0184, with the Lucky Charm SSSE034 stamp set to make one SWEET St. Patty’s Day treat. Squee!
I couldn’t wait to share this St. Paddy’s Day treat box with you. Construction is super simple. Check out the detailed supply list at the end of this post.
- Cut and assemble two Mini Popcorn Boxes. Be sure to cut the Basic Banner from Sugar Cardstock on one of the passes through your die cut machine.
- When you cut the Rainbow Die in six different colors, it makes six rainbows ready to go! Making multiples of this treat box is easy.
- Glue the Rainbow Die Cut pieces to Sugar Cardstock and cut out with scissors. Adhere the ends of the rainbow to the inside of the Mini Popcorn Boxes.
- Stamp “Lucky” on Sugar cardstock and cut out. Stamp “to know you” on the Basic Banner. Secure the sentiments to the front of the Mini Popcorn Boxes.
- Fill your St. Patrick’s Day rainbow treat with something GOLD of course! We like Rolo Chewy Caramels in Milk Chocolateat the Alvarez house.
